VIC:'Brutal, callous' murderer denied appeal

MELBOURNE, Feb 2 AAP - A man who stabbed his two-year-old daughter to death to avenge
the breakdown of his relationship has lost a bid to appeal his life sentence.

Ramazan Acar, 24, posted a chilling message on Facebook, "Bout to kill ma kid", before
murdering the toddler in November 2010.

On Thursday, Justice Mark Weinberg rejected the killer's application for leave to appeal
his life sentence, with a 33-year minimum.
