BABCOCK CONSTRUCTION AWARDED CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF THE DISCHARGE PIPES

According to DOD: Babcock Construction Co., LLC, Starkville,Miss., was awarded on Feb. 23 a $10,556,339 firm-fixed-pricecontract. The award will provide for the installation of thedischarge pipes for the Grand Prairie Pumping Station demonstrationproject. Work will be performed in DeValls Bluff, Ark., with anestimated completion date of March 30, 2012. The bid was solicitedthrough the Internet with 19 bids received. The U.S. Army Corps ofEngineers, Memphis, Tenn., is the contracting activity (W912EQ-11-C-0009).
